I must confess I own exactly zero pieces of watermelon-themed dishes, serving vessels and other kitchen accessories. My wife has never purchased any and, being a man, societal standards prevent me from buying something like that for myself. (When it comes to the kitchen, men are only allowed to get excited about griddles, garbage disposals and anything bacon-themed.)
And so, I indulge my inner watermelon fanatic by giving away cool-looking stuff like this month’s prize – the watermelon platter. Check that thing out! The platter measures 11 inches and is ceramic with a high gloss finish.
What I like is that it’s all shiny and realistic looking. Mostly realistic, that is. Normally, watermelon seeds are toward the center, not close to the rind, but that platter would still look awesome piled high with burgers, steak, or even slices of watermelon. Or bacon! Maybe if I used it to serve giant piles of bacon, it would be okay for me, as a man, to buy this platter and be excited about it. (I just checked with society, and the answer is still “no.”)

That plate would be great, but I might mistake it for my real watermelon slices and eat it instead! Hahaha
I LOVE anything Watermelon. My whole kitchen is watermelon. I am always looking to add new things, and I don’t have this platter. I can only find watermelon stuff in the spring/summer stuff or at second hand places. I would love to add this to my collection. I just love your website. I would love to win the watermelon platter. I’ve been eating watermelon ever since I can remember. When I was little we used to go to a local farm and purchase one. This was the old timey farm that was still using the best kind of natural fertilize, it sure made a good…..watermelon.

I’m 12 and i’m obsessed! I know many facts about watermelons, like there a vegatable because there realted to the pumpkin cumber and more! I first had watermelon when i lived in canada it is the most refreshing VEGATABLE after a hot day. I really like watermelon sweets! but I love watermelons! did you know I can consume a whole one in a day?I would love this plate and treasure it in my heart forever. ( the plate would be very useful because my mum is always complaining about eating watermelon with my hands and i should eat them off a plate) please it would mean the universe glaxy!
