WEEKLY WATERMELON PRIZE: THE WATERMELON DIPPING BOWLS

Of all the prizes I’ve featured on the blog over the past three years (has it really been that long?!), one of the few I seriously considered buying for myself was the pair of watermelon dipping bowls I gave away in April 2010. I’ve decided to give two of these bowls away (they come in pairs) as this week’s National Watermelon Month prize, and you may be interested to know that I’ve also decided to purchase a set for myself.

As you can see from the photo on the right, these bowls really go the extra mile when it comes to capturing all the delicious detail of a real watermelon. They’re small, too. Only three-and-a-half inches across, which is why they’re called “dipping bowls” and not ice cream bowls or cereal bowls. The good news is, I dip a lot of food into various sauces and dressings, so these little bowls will definitely come in handy.

I’ll choose one comment at random to receive these ceramic serving pieces. Good luck!

  • These are so cute! I would love to get these! They are all over my workplace and I never know where to find them!

  • Love, love, love the bowls! My kids love watermelon and would love to eat it out of these bowls :) They recently helped me with carving a watermelon shark (they’re 8 and 10) and thought that it was the most fun ever! I’m thinking I have two future watermelon carvers on my hands!

  • What cute bowls! They would look so good with fire & ice salsa, my personal fav. Yum-O! Makes my hungry just looking at those bowls imaging what they could be full of. Pick me!

  • These are by far the Cutest dipping bowls. We also love to dip around here and these would be absolutely perfect.Just love anything Watermelon!

  • Those are just adorable! I think they would look cute on my desk at work holding paper clips and rubbber bands. I agree they are the right size for dipping sauces but a desk would certainly display them all day!

  • These bowls are the cutest! They would add a lot of color to my fruit and vegetable table when I entertain.
