Rabbits are famously fond of carrots, but from the looks of this video, they’re also big fans of watermelon. The not-so-little guy in this video is a White Flemish Giant Rabbit, a breed of domestic rabbit that can grow to more than 20 pounds.
Today’s video features two treats. The first is the jumbo rabbit happily munching away on a slice of watermelon (you gotta love the “chomp, chomp, chomp” noises she makes!). The second fun part is the close up of the nest full of baby rabbits about half way through the recording.
The little ones are cute, no doubt about it, but I’m not sure I’d want one as a pet. If they grow as large as their mother and inherit her appetite, they’d probably end up eating all of my watermelon. Those feedings would be fun the first few times, but after they gobbled up all my watermelon for the fourth time in a week, I’d probably start to regret having them as a pet.
