To help celebrate Independence Day this year, I adapted a recipe from one I found on the National Watermelon Promotion Board website. It\u2019s technically a \u201ckids\u201d recipe, but who cares? I certainly don\u2019t because it looks and tastes great and that\u2019s all that matters!<\/p>\n
This is one of those things you can make for your home barbecue or to take to a friend\u2019s house. It\u2019s fun because it looks really cool and makes people say, \u201cThat\u2019s made of what?\u201d or, if their mouths are full, \u201cMmff made aff whullff?\u201d Best of all, it\u2019s easy to make. You\u2019ll notice a lot of the recipes I feature on here are easy. I like easy.<\/p>\n
The only difference between the recipe below and the \u201cKids\u2019 Watermelon Pizza Supreme\u201d on the website is that I substituted blueberries for raisins to put the \u201cblue\u201d in \u201cRed, White & Blue Watermelon Pizza.\u201d Enjoy!<\/p>\n

\n1 (8 to 10-inch round and 1-inch thick) watermelon slice
\n1 cup strawberry preserves
\n1\/2 cup white chocolate chips
\n\u00bd to 1 cup blueberries
\n1\/2 cup chopped walnuts
\n1 cup sweetened shredded coconut<\/p>\n
