OF HELENA, MONTANA ASKS: My wife and I eat watermelon as an integral part of our diet. In season, here in Montana, we eat one 10-15-pound seedless melon each week! We love it. However, the season is short. I would like to extend our season and have watermelon in our home year round. Could you please advise as to how, from whom, we could have melons shipped to us so we can continue our love affair with this wonderful part of our diet.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whataboutwatermelon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/MAIL.bmp\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1117\" title=\"MAIL\" src=\"https:\/\/www.whataboutwatermelon.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/12\/MAIL.bmp\" alt=\"\" \/><\/a>Good question, Mark. As a fellow watermelon lover, I sympathize with you.<\/p>\n<p>My best advice (and it does work from time to time) is to talk to your store\u2019s produce manager and let him know that if the store had watermelon for sale that you and many other customers would buy it! He can take the request up to their store\u2019s produce suppliers and find an importer who will ship to your area. There are many watermelons coming into the U.S. from Mexico and Central America during the winter months. These watermelons are just as sweet, juicy and tasty as they are in the summer months!<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately there is no existing watermelon ordering system online. Watermelon is just too heavy to ship individually, but perhaps you have a business idea waiting to happen!<\/p>\n<p>Hope this helps.
