RECIPE: BREAKFAST SIX-LAYER TRIFLE

My wife and I have been searching for fun ways to get our daughter stoked about breakfast because, lately, my four-year-old has been losing interest in the most important meal of the day. We’ve tried it all, from Mickey Mouse-shaped waffles to these watermelon pancake sandwiches, but we’re having trouble coming up with ways to keep her interested.

It’s not enough to tell a four-year-old that breakfast really is the most important meal, mainly because she’d argue that dessert is way more important, and I’d have a hard time disagreeing. One of our newest attempts at making mornings appetizing is this recipe for Breakfast Six Layer Trifle.

I love this recipe because it combines so many nutritious ingredients in one easy-to-make dish. Plus, my daughter absolutely loves it, and that’s always a good thing. Even if you don’t have to impress a toddler with your breakfast-making skills, this is the perfect addition to your breakfast table.
