A few weeks ago, I burned my arm when I reached into the oven to poke at a pizza while it was cooking. It wasn’t a bad burn, but it was enough to teach me that I should wear an oven mitt when I’m working around red-hot coils of metal inside a cramped space.
With that painful lesson in mind, this month’s prize is a watermelon oven mitt with matching pot holders. This colorful set was made by “Stitchingram” over on Etsy, a website that features all sorts of handmade crafts. If I’d had this oven mitt, I could have used it and avoided getting burned. Funny thing is, we have two oven mitts in a drawer right next to the stove. Lesson learned.

Those would just be perfect! Those mitts must have been made for me; I am cooking all the time and I don’t have any decent oven mitts! Oh and I just adore watermelon, I even baked some watermelon cupcakes for my birthday! This is the best prize yet!
