The submission period for the 2012 Watermelon Carving Contest is over. It wasn’t easy to choose the first, second and third place winners in each of our five categories, but after several hours of debating, our judges got the job done.
The winners in each of the categories won’t be announced quite yet, though. Before that happens, the National Watermelon Promotion Board would like you to view all of the finalists (plus several honorable mentions) on the contest voting page and sound off with your opinion of which carving should take home the $500 “Fan Favorite” grand prize.
Good luck to all the finalists and thanks again to everyone who took the time to submit a carving! Now, do your duty as a watermelon lover and get over to the 2012 Watermelon Carving Contest voting page to bask in the awesomeness of each and every carving. Oh, and don’t forget to vote!
