The title of this blog entry pretty much says it all, but I’ll say it again, using slightly different words: If you haven’t entered the What About Watermelon Carving Contest, there’s still plenty of time left to create and submit your entry.
Well, maybe not plenty of time – the deadline is August 31 – but there’s still time left.
To recap, entries will be accepted in two categories: watermelon baskets and “other stuff.” The winner in EACH category, as determined by the votes of watermelon fans across the nation, will receive the ultimate watermelon carving package consisting of a John Boos maple cutting board, the Kuhn Rikon melon knife (that’s it above) and the Grassland Roads Backyard BBQ watermelon plate.
