I know it’s not exactly “bird feeder weather” (at least not in the northeast), but when I found this month’s prize – the watermelon bird feeder – I couldn’t wait until spring to post it. I mean, what bird wouldn’t want to grab a snack out of a hollowed out watermelon (even a fake one)?
I’ll choose one comment from all the comments left on What About Watermelon to receive this prize. It might make a good Christmas gift for the watermelon and/or bird lover in your life. Or you can just keep it for yourself. I wouldn’t blame you if you did.

That Watermelon Bird Feeder would make an excellent Christmas Gift. I know one or two people who’d love it. It is very, very cute for a bird feeder.
I know a few people too! Too bad I can’t win it myself!
How cool! Watermelon and birds are two of my greatest passions so I will surely be asking Santa for one! I’m very particular about my bird feeders but this one gets two thumbs up!
As a Kindergarten teacher, I am always on the lookout for new and different ideas to use with my children. This one is one of the most original I have come across. What a fun way to end a class picnic, field trip and lessons on’recycling for everyone”. Even our wonderful birds get in on the act. Thank you for such a novel approach to bird feeders. Your idea will certainly be used later this year.
Thank you!
Love the feeder, very cute. Do you have any hummingbird feeders?
